   am/is /are+ past participle (reg. -ed / irreg. 3rd column)

 

EXERCISE 2. Write present passive sentences:

  1. The superheroe freezes the people.
  2.  All the farmers grow corn in the field.
  3. Those children draw lovely pictures.
  4. That boy and girl forget my name.
  5. She gives me a hug.

PAST PASSIVE

 was/were+ past participle (reg. -ed / irreg. 3rd column)

AGENT:" 👋👋 bye-bye AGENT!"

Who or what does the action, the subject of the active, is the AGENT of the passive and is preceded by the preposition "by". The agent is usually omitted when:

  • Unkown agent:
 My mobile phone was stolen (by someone).
  • Obvious agent:
 The thief was arrested (by the police).
  • " don't want to say" agent:
 The secret has been revealed (by Mary).
 The cookies have been eaten (by me😋 )
